Release Notes

1. Inter-panel communications.
   A memory leak was discovered in the DHCP client software of the RTOS used in the aPod controller. It relates to the DHCP release time renewal and is only triggered under very specific circumstances. If the problem occurs, it can intermittently disrupt communications between the Master and the slave controller. Updating the system software to version 2.60 resolves this problem but a work-around also exists. The problem will not occur if the aPod controllers' are assigned static IP addresses.
   
2. Software update issue.
   A database conflict existed when a system with version 2.40 software or earlier with a specific configuration was updated to version 2.50. This has been resolved in version 2.60.
   
3. Report of events by User.
   An 'Events by User Name' report would not generate any results if the entered User name contained a space. This has been resolved in version 2.60.
   
4. Auto-configuration of key stroke input for keypad readers.
   A keypad reader keystroke is usually reported to the access controller as either a 4-bit or an 8-bit character. This manual configuration is no longer required as the input is detected and auto-configured.

Service Updates

Service updates correct minor issues or add specific enhancements to satisfy customer requests.  In most cases, a software update can be delayed until the next major release.

1. aPod Software version 2.60 (build 06f44e) - released on October 30, 2016
   The packet size for interpanel communication is reduced slightly to accommodate the default MTU setting of certain routers and switches.
   A scheduling option is provided for the interface to the Antaris Technologies Health Club Management System.
   The enrollment of remote slave controllers when there is no DHCP server available is simplified.
2. aPod Software version 2.60 (build 06fe51) - released on November 8, 2016
   This update introduces a custom application which addresses a specific customer high security requirement.
   It also adds a new administrator authorization level which allows management of Users but no control of doors and inputs.
3. aPod Software version 2.60 (build 070651) - released on November 15, 2016
   This update fixes a bug in the factory reset process that could under certain circumstances allow a remote slave controller to lose communication with the master controller.
